Pastor Brian, as he prefers to be called, has been Pastor of Cornerstone Church since 1991 and has attended Cornerstone Church since 1981 when he first accepted Jesus as Savior and Lord. He is ordained by, and is a current member of, the Evangelical Church Alliance, an inter-denominational worldwide organization. Pastor Brian and wife, Valerie, have been married 20 years and have five children, that they home school.
Pastor Brian likes to think of himself and Cornerstone Church as very “down to earth” where people with real problems can get real help from the living God as they begin to incorporate the life giving, life changing principles of God in their life. "The Bible does not always offer a quick fix, but it does guarantee results." Pastor VanDerway understands and is committed to preaching the Gospel from a “tree of life” perspective as is consistent with Jesus’ words when he said:
...I have come that they may have life, and that they may have it more abundantly.
John 10:10 (NKJV)

Alan has been a member of Cornerstone Church since 1975, when it was originally called Calvary Gospel Church. He was appointed as an Elder and also as head usher in 2001. Greeting everyone as they arrive for Sunday service is a time he especially looks forward to.
Alan and wife, Judy, have been married for 40+ years and have 4 adult sons and 9 grandchildren. A desire of his heart is for all to know the healing power which God makes available to all believers.
Philippians 4:8, which are themes for thought, is one of his favorite verses.
